Arab Cultural House (ACH) is a non-profit organization whose main objective is to provide a permanent forum for cultural and artistic exchange among Arab communities in Canada. It is also meant to bridge the gap between Arab culture and local Canadian cultures. By reaching out to younger generations in the Arab community, Arab Cultural House also hopes to play an instrumental role in helping them stay in touch with their traditions and preserve their language.

We have been successful in our Palestinian Costume Show that was hosted by the Municipality of Verdun as part of their festivities held on Ile Des Soeurs, in 1995. Local talents presented a collection by Nawal Halawa. Subsequent to this remarkable event, we received various invitations from other municipalities and educational institutions to exhibit this private collection of costumes. Due to the success of these events, and the positive interest and feedback, it was decided to work on accumulating a collection of costumes and artifacts from the whole Arab world. We will concentrate on the presentation of the diversity and beauty of the Arab heritage and culture as a whole, through Traditional Costume Show and Exhibitions.
